"Dahl writes amazing stories and this is one of my favorites. It is funny and yet scary at the same time. It is probably for a little older audiences than his usual books, but it is worth the read. "

"If you are a lover of children's nursery ryhmes stay away from the book Revolting Rhymes by Roald Dahl. This fiction book takes our beloved stories and turns them into twisted, revolting plot lines. I am a lover of the classics and this book needs to go away! Roald Dahl has written much better novels!"

"One of my friends was recently telling me how much her child loves Roald Dahl, and I admitted I had never heard of him. Now, I'm curious and would like to start my child out reading one of his books to see if he likes it too. I'm trying to figure out where to start. The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me appears to be highly rated, and the description even calls it one of his "much-loved" books. I definitely think it fits the bill and I will definitely be checking it out."

"Far be it from me to criticize a literary master like Roald Dahl, but this book just didn't click with me. Maybe I'm just too used to reading Dahl's work for a young adult audience. James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, Matilda...the books absolutely defined my childhood. To read a more adult tale of Uncle Oswald just didn't have the same excitement and pizazz. Stick to the basics, Dahl-face!"
