    #1Linux Mint

    Linux Mint
Linux Mint is one of the more popular distributions, with editions based on Ubuntu and Debian. With some of Ubuntu's recent controversial changes, particularly in the user interface, Linux Mint has become the go-to distribution for those looking for a well-supported and up-to-date, but more familiar Linux experience.

"Everyone always says, get rid of Windows, throw Apple out as well and try Linux. I decided to switch to Linux Mint. I liked that it was free. Free is always good in my book. The layout seems pretty easy to use which is important as I hated the layout of Apple and would go out of my way not to use it. I've heard they have a good system for updates so hopefully it won't be like Windows where it takes 2 hours to restart my computer. I'll see how it goes long term but I'm cautiously hopeful."

"Apple's iOS has been unparalleled since it landed on the scene with the original iPhone. We could argue iPhone versus Android all day, but I truly believe that the latest iteration of iOS -- iOS 11 -- is the best operating system on the market today. There is no better solution."
