"RetroArch is a great solution for emulating not only Super Nintendo but many many other systems as well. It's easier than setting up a separate emulator for each one. As for Super Nintendo it emulates the gameplay flawlessly and really only requires that you setup your controls and video to your liking. I like adding scanline filters so it feels like playing it on an old tv. Don't hesitate on this just use it!"

"I wanted a PC emulator for my Super Nintendo games, and found this. Unfortunately, it does not seem to support what I need it to. I'm sure its great for the systems it does support, but Super Nintendo specifically does not seem to be one of them."

"I had been wanting to play some games that were on the Super Nintendo, but the system is too old and I can't really find one. I found an emulator called SNES9X that was able for me to play the games that I had wanted on my PC."

Emulators have been around since the mid to late ’90s. Popular games of consoles during the ’90s are still prominent to this very day because of emulators. In the case of Nintendo, their most prominent console was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or the SNES. It’s a 16-bit video game console that they released in 1990 in Japan. The Super Nintendo became the best-selling 16-bit game console that rivaled against its competitor, the Sega Genesis. It featured all Nintendo’s signature franchises such as Super Mario World, Donkey Kong, and The Legend of Zelda. It’s because these games were so iconic back then that they’re still being played to this very day. This is possible because of the SNES emulators that we have today.

The most downloaded game of PC Super Nintendo Emulators is Super Mario World with a total of 6,914,967 downloads. The game is hands down the most downloaded title among the SNES platform with the second one only having a number around 2,496,864 downloads. There’s no doubt why Super Mario is the most successful title that Nintendo has ever produced. Because of its world-renowned popularity, the game has become a subject of speedruns. The game’s record is all about who can finish the game in the fastest time, with a lot of people having impressive entries. But, the most impressive would have to be when a speedrunner beat the game in less than fourteen minutes while blindfolded. Katun24 is well known for his speedruns in Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest. The blindfolded run is his most successful feat yet. He had some lapses in some stages, but luckily he came through in the end. He's deserving of the record that he holds.

"I'm an avid game collector and while I would like to collect all of my favorite Super Nintendo games the fact is that it just isn't possible either because the hard copies are not being sold or are hard to get or their is no paid for digital download option. Another issue I run into is the fear that playing the cartridges that I do have will wear them out and cause unnecessary damage to them. With ZSNES I don't have to worry about that and I can play all my favorite titles on my computer anytime I want. I don't have to drag the SNES system out to play and I don't have to worry about damaging any of my valuable carts. The best part? It's a small download and super easy to use."

"I've used a lot of emulators and none of them do it as well as Bsnes. Finally I can play my old favorites hassle free. I haven't found a single SNES game that it didn't work with flawlessly and its so easy to use. I don't think there is a better emulator on the market for Windows. "
