This is a great fun app that keeps me busy for hours. More

My oldest kid, 11 yr old daughter, is really into the piano. I got her a flexible roll up piano for her birthday next week. I think that from the screenshots it would be a little advanced for her, especially being a beginner, but who knows, within a year or two may really want access to info like that More

This is an app that runs on Apple products only, requiring iOS 9.3 or later. It costs $12.99 to download. You need to be able to read musical notations to use this app successfully. It is not an app that teaches you music, but rather it is an app that trained musicians can use to help them read and play musical pieces, while using backing tracks from the app. There are many free in-app upgrades such as Jazz Style Pack and Latin Styles Pack, among several others. The Blues pack costs $3.99, which is a nominal fee for a very popular back up style. More

I have been looking for a piano app to play and engage my creative side with. After looking around through a decent amount of apps I have to say that djay 2 really was what I was looking for. This app was a lot of fun to use. More

I think that djay 2 is totally unrelated to piano, while it is a music app it just doesn't serve the same purpose.

This is a pretty brilliant teaching tool. I don't know how it works it's magic, but it's like having a real instructor in the room with you. The only hitch is there is no "virtual" instrument. One has to bring one's own. But it can understand anything, from a ukulele to a digital piano. Players of nearly all levels will get something out of this.

I was looking for an app that would help critique my performance while playing Piano. Yousican Guitar, Piano & Bass was great for this purpose, because I was able to determine the aspects of each piece I was playing incorrectly.

Real Piano sounds like a real piano! In a pinch you could use it if you didn't have a piano but needed to play a simple piece. It's got a bunch of other instruments as well, but the piano sound is particularly well done I thought. More

It's a neat tool, and can be quite a diversion. As far as learning, though, you may be able to remember where the keys to specific songs are, but unless you already know how to play a full size piano, it will be difficult to transfer it to an actual keyboard. More

Although the app is definitely fun and mimics that of a real piano, the app is not very sensitive when the keys are pressed. Because of this, I would press the keys as if I were playing the piano however no sound would come out. I had to press the keys very hard which was not always possible especially when the song's pace is fast. This isn't an app that I would recommend as it was more frustrating that no sound was playing even when I pressed the keys multiple times. Although great in concept, the app does not satisfy the basics of being a piano which is generating sound. More

This is a pretty solid app, but I feel like it attempts to be a jack of all trades and master of none. You'll get some piano aspects from it without a doubt, but if you're dedicated and want the best? Find an app that focuses on such. More
