"If you are looking for a nonfiction book on polygamist cults then this book is not for you, as this is fiction. However, the author probably got inspiration from somewhere, right? So I'm sure some of the themes in this fiction novel relate to real life cults. "

"This is a pretty specific genre, but the psychology involved in polygamist cults absolutely fascinates me, plus my mom was raised Mormon. Wives and Sisters is a pretty thrilling read, you feel like you're inside protagonist Allison's head as she tries to navigate life within the Mormon community while she unravels some pretty disturbing events and tries to figure out who's hiding what and why. The writing is kind of so-so at times, which can kind of take you out of it, but it's still definitely worth a read."
