"A classic book that remains a great read to this day. The book delves into the life of a girl in such a magical way, and the writing brings the characters to life. It comes highly recommended to anyone who is looking for an engrossing and fun read, and is not turned off by it being a "girl's" book. The story is a classic, and a great read for anyone of any age."

"Dickens is a master story teller. He does not disappoint in this heart-wrenching tale, not so much about the French Revolution as it is about the endurance of love, faith, and friendship amidst crazy times."

"Though this is one of the books that is a part of the puffin Clothbound Classic books it was not what I was looking for. I needed the Clothbound book itself and though Charlotte's Web is part of that classic book collection this one is not Clothbound. "

"I can't imagine how it would feel to be a dad that has done a lot to give his child everything and then something happens. I am not sure how to rate this, because children shouldn't have to deal with horrible things."

"I was forced to read this book over 20 years ago as mandatory reading in high school, so of course I hated it. Lately, however, I've been trying to reread books from my youth to see if they are really as bad as I remember. This book definitely isn't one of those. Mary's story is engaging and it is wonderful watching her grow as the story progresses. Very well written and definitely a true piece classic literature."
