After reading a bunch of Reddit posts, I decided that Python would be the quickest language to pick up and possibly the most useful. Mark Lutz's book was what I was looking for as it was an introductory course to Python programming and allowed me to learn and also decide if this was what I wanted to do. "This is a great book for those starting out and know nothing about Python. It isn't too deep so a beginner can readily get accustomed to coding. It's not overly technical and I'd add it as one of the best of the Python series, simply for that reason. It's a lot of fun for the learner as well. It's simplified fun!"
