"I first heard this at the children's hour at the local library. Then I reread it to my children over the course of a week while we were stranded in our house by rain. What a wonderful time we had reading this joyous adventure together and what a great way to bond. I recommend it to all parents and to all libraries. It's the perfect way to spend quality time together as a community or a family. "

"The Boxcar Children is an absolute staple. My mom read it to me, my grandmother read it to HER, and God-willing my daughter will some day read it to *her* kids. The lessons and morals of this book -- which I love to read aloud -- are as relevant as ever in our twisted, chaotic, Trump-run world of 2018. Pick up the whole set today!"

"This is not a chapter book and I don't know why it was suggested as one. While it's a great book and I recommend it for youths especially it did not satisfy what I was searching for. At all."

"Holes was a very interesting book that I read as a kid where the main character got convicted of falsely stealing an item and sent to a camp to 'man up' by digging holes and living in extreme conditions. Over time he makes friends, uncovers a plot by the warden, and ends up dispelling a curse. It's actually pretty engaging and it was a great movie too. If you have a young kid, get them to read it as I bet they will love it. Highly, highly recommend."

"I just bought The BFG for my 7-year-old son and to me, it's one of the best chapter books that I have read to him aloud. Usually, I'm a bit bored reading some of his books but I really enjoyed this book. He loves the book so much and now says Whizzpopper all the time. There were numerous places in the book where he laughed out loud. "
