"Argo is one of the best historical drama films of our time. Filled with high-tension scenes, the movie recounts the events that led to the rescue of U.S. diplomats from Iran. "

"All the President's Men is a thriller. Nevermind the politcal side of this movie. Well, you can't set aside the politcal aspects of this movie as it deals with the Watergate scandal and Nixon so there's no avoiding the issue. That said, the movie was technically sound, had a group script, a good plot, and wonderful actors. It's one of the best films from the 1970s so it's not a surprise this one is on this list."

"If you thought Saving Private Ryan was a good war movie, then you would love Hamburger Hill. The movie focuses on a single platoon and how they fought during the Vietnam war. Great, great movie!"

"The Runaways is a biographical film about the 1970s band. Dakota Fanning is back to her old ways, giving credence to her character. And as befitting a popular band, the movie itself has an outstanding soundtrack."

"This is probably Joseph Gordon-Levitt's best performance in a lead role. The Walk tells the story of a French high-wire artist and old Joseph there nailed it. It also didn't hurt that Robert Zemeckis helmed the film. Great film all around."

"American Hustle is one of the better films in recent memory. It wouldn't be nominated for several awards if it wasn't. It has an all-star cast that was led by a talented director. The whole crew depicted the ABSCAM operation superbly and with humor."

"This one is scary-good. Good and scary. James Brolin and Margot Kidder were exceptional in The Amityville Horror. The movie was based on "true-to-life" experiences of the Lutz family and while there are a fair number of skeptics, the movie was still well-made. True story or not, this is a great movie in its own right."

"People don't understand how difficult it is to go through military training. Full Metal Jacket captures all the human emotions involved when a man goes through with it. This is certainly deserving to be on this list as it represents the men and women who served in our Armed Forces during the Vietnam War. And to the men and women in our Army, the former and currently serving uniformed personnel, I'll say thank you for your service!"
