" Ready or Not is a nice coming of age novel that is both witty and charming. Follow Sam, the main character, as she works through the issues, that many young people face these days. Heartwarming and funny combined into one."

"This is the solution? I can't tell if it's someone's handwritten notes are on the inside of the book or what's going on here? “I’ve left some clues for you. If you want them, turn the page. If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.” OK then, sounds rather juvenile to me, I'll pass on this one all together. No thanks."

"I love realistic chick-lit fiction novels and having three teens at home I often end up reading their books. So we all read "Lola and the Boy Next Door" as a family and we loved it! It felt true and heartfelt to me. It was able to captivate me as much as it did my kids. Overall it's really well written and easy to relate to."

"One of the first chick-lit novels I have ever read. I read it when I was around 13 years old. I remember walking through the teen section of Barnes and Nobles, my eyes gazing through each cover of each novel until they stopped on Something Like Fate. I felt intrigued just from seeing the cover as the girl holds the hand of her best friend's boyfriend; I thought to myself, "Ooh! This finna get juicy!" You know the typical lingo of a young teenager. As soon as I bought I devoured the book, finished within 3 days. Obviously as I am 19 years old now and I read that novel when I was 13 I don't remember the ending but I do remember the pleasant, happy feeling I had reading the book so I believe it was not that bad of chick-lit fiction novel. I would recommend it to someone as a light-hearted read."

"I came across "13 Little Blue Envelopes" when looking for a realistic chick-flick novel. This book fits that criteria, and although it's been around for 8 years, it is still relevant enough today to be enjoyable. If you like romance teen novels that actually seem plausible (i.e. not vampires), this one is for you."

"It's OK. I would not say it's realistic. I read a few chapters to make sure it is suitable for my 13 year old daughter, and I kind of rolled my eyes at how shallow the setting seems to be. But then again, I was a kid once too. I know Hollywood dazzles them."

"I loved Konigsburg's writing in this book. It was so light, fun, and quirky. The main character Margaret was very easy to identify with. The way Margaret's bullies treated her felt so realistic. I know this from experience. The ending of the book felt very grounded in reality and was satisfying even if it was not particularly happy. Overall I am glad I picked this up from my school's library."

"This is a good under the radar book. I loved the teen prom drama, it brought me right back to high school all over again. Great read for teens, but by now I'm sure the content is a bit dated for a lot of them. I still recommend it for those who love this genre. "
