"I like this app as it encourages us cooks to be more social and interact with another. You can upload and share your recipes with everyone in the app. The UI is simple and clean and you will occasionally stumble upon a hidden gem of a recipe that's been passed around for generations, which is just amazing."

DID YOU KNOW?

The first-ever method of cooking used during the prehistoric times was roasting? It was the sole way to cook until the Aurignacian people of France started to steam food. They wrapped it in leaves over hot embers during the Palaeolithic Period. Pottery came during the Neolithic Period. Shortly after, humans learned to cook in clay pots and used containers made of wood and antlers. Ancient cooking used other methods such as broiling, frying, and boiling. The people of Mesopotamia also developed plant irrigation and cultivation. They also introduced plant and animal domestication. this opened up a new world of possibilities as far as ingredients go.

The Renaissance period took cooking to a whole new level. From a method for preparing sustenance, to an art form and source of pleasure. This marked the rise of famous, skilled, and creative chefs. As well as the invention of new cooking techniques and cuisine. This love and passion for food and cooking have carried over to modern day cooking. From cookbooks to TV shows, and even mobile apps, there are plenty of ways to learn and enjoy cooking. The best recipe apps enable those who have no experience with cooking to learn something new. For today's busy and fast lifestyle, there are recipe apps where you type in ingredients. These apps provide ideas and recommendation for its user to try. This makes the whole process easier and reduces much of the guesswork.

"I'm Hungry: Vegetarian Recipes I find offers a great variety of text recipes along with great photos of the dishes to go along with them. One limitation is the app requires you to have a number of products on hand and apparently has no ability to suggest recipes based on ingredients you have at home. Not a huge issue but something that could be improved upon."
