"There's a lot of people trying to put out new children's books, but sometimes what your kid likes the best is an old favorite. In my son's case, a VERY old favorite. This book is from before even my time. It was something on my grandmother's shelf, and my son listened to her tell it to him. When he wanted to hear the story again, I looked it up and found I could get a new printing so I did. It's wholesome and entertaining, exactly what I want for my children. Love this book."

"This book was hilarious! My son loved it, and that's saying a lot. He's very picky when it comes to books. He asked me to read this one with him repeatedly. If he's happy then I'm happy."

"I think overall this is a very good choice for this this topic, although it isn't the best one. Even though, it still has overall very highly rated reviews. Additionally, the book is a bit dated and is possibly not as relevant today as it was in the past."

"- it will not hold up to the odd bite or love from a toddler, be warned - but the illustrations and story are cute. Seriously though, you don't want to hand this to a kid who hasn't learned to be gentle or handle books with care. My 13 mo old got it out of my hands for a second, mouthed the corner of the spine and the printed area/top layer of paper came right off."
