- #1March 7, 2018"This is a good book in the series, but I would recommend reading the first book before diving in -- or even better, playing the game as well -- just to be familiar with the characters and the Resident Evil universe. Overall, I enjoyed the book and I was happy it wasn't just a "here are some characters you're familiar with in a contrived scenario to make money for the author" treatment."

The backstory is fleshed out and the characters are richer than they seemed based solely on the film. The added material doesn't detract from the action, which is there in abundance."
