"To be honest, I have used AVG for years and trust it. It's highly rated, simple to use and install, and does the job. If you are stuck with pop-ups, though, the best place to deal with that is right in your browser. There's an option in every browser to stop pop-ups. So, if you're worried about malware or trojans or other things, use AVG. You need it. But if it's pop-ups your worried about, do that right in the options menu in your browser. "

"The free version is good, however I may look into purchasing the paid version. The app gets rid of unwanted pop-ups adequately. I think the paid version may be even better though and is probably worth the price."
