"The past few years, I've been eating out several times a week. I absolutely love Chinese food, but it's really breaking the bank and flattening my wallet eating out all the time. I had decided that I wanted to learn how to cook some good Chinese food. I looked up a bunch of recipes on Cooking Channel: Chinese Cooking but totally expected it to not be very authentic tasting. Boy was I wrong! A lot of the recipes taste exactly like Chinese takeout! I was never much of a cook, but I've been making some great recipes and making them taste wonderful!"

"I found this pretty helpful, since I'm a novice at cooking in general - not just cooking Chinese food. I really appreciated that it gave a brief overview of what each method WAS, and what utensils I would need, since I don't always have things, like a wok, and don't want to buy one. It was really helpful when it gave links to recipes."

"This Youtube channel is in some ways a useful resource, but I have some problems with it. For starters, there isn't a place where you can download recipes. It's not helpful to me if I have to play the video every time I prepare the dish. Secondly, what makes this guy an expert on Chinese cooking? It's not clear to me. "

"The book is great if you're looking for good soup recipes. It's not a Chinese food cookbook at all, nor is it a "learning to cook" book. The recipes are good and I've used them quite often when I'm looking for a quick meal and don't want to spend hours in front of the stove. I use it mostly on the weekends because some of the recipes warrant a longer time frame for cooking. There is good variety in this cookbook and it's great value for the price. "
