This is the best solution to finding new people around me. A lot of the dating apps, don't have a great chat feature, this one does. You don't have to connect on one app to talk on another. It's perfect to find someone discreetly, and not have your relationship put on blast. More

My experience with hi5 was just okay. It works like any other location-based dating app except it has a fun, short matching game when you first sign up which is supposed to make it easier to meet local people. Unfortunately, not too many people use hi5 in my area. I bet it is just as good as the other major dating apps if you live in a high population area. More

I have used many social dating/networking sites, most with marginal success. I had heard often about Tinder- mostly for casual meetings. I wasn't looking for that, but I decided to give it a try and see if things could turn out any different. I'm very happy to say that yes indeed, Tender is good for more than just casual meetings! I have been on several serious (non "hook-up") dates all with very awesome women, and I'm currently seeing someone exclusively who I met through Tinder. So, if you're not looking for something short term but unhappy with other options, give Tinder a try! More

Minecraft Realms is a way I socialize with my friends with fun game playing and my friends play for free with my paid subscription once they are approved to join. I like the two tier setup as I am a quiet person and can use the smaller tier and keep things on a private and personal level. More

Don't guess at the the nature of others in your undedicated chat rooms any more. Fem has all the features of general chat, videos, and Tinder like profiles (video as well) for the lesbian community in you area and afield as well. Leave the picture book nature of the others and see who it is you are taking a potential interest in. More

This is a good resource for meeting people near me. I would recommend anyone use this but watchout for trolls.

I decided to try out Radar Rabbit on my last road trip. I was traveling, camping in parks, and generally being a tourist. This app was excellent!. I not only met a few interesting people along my journey, but I got all kinds of suggestions on hikes and attractions to check out. Chatrandom is a wonderful platform that I have used to help come out of my social shell. It is awesome as it allows you to search by area and start conversations with people and if things are not going well just swipe right to move on to someone new. This can be a pretty fun and useful application for a little while, but the user base is very small and it doesn't appear to be growing at all. It's also Android only, so if you're using an Iphone, or heavens forbid, a Windows phone, you won't get much use out of this application. You may also need to hide yo children, because the rating is mature 17+. More

Chatrandom has been great. It lets me meet people that are actually close to me. I'm able to move from person to person quickly and easily.

I downloaded this app called JustSayHi which is a free online social chat network, to try to make new connections in this city. Unfortunately, it seems like a majority of the profiles are fake accounts and bots. For every real account, there are roughly 10 fakes accounts on this platform. More
