WHAT'S THE MEANING?
Wi-Fi or WiFi is a technology which is used for wireless local area network with devices in accordance with IEEE 802.11 standards. It was founded in September 1990, and it has been in the industry for almost thirty years already. Before being popularly recognized as 'Wi-Fi', it was called WaveLAN, FlankSpeed, DragonFly, WECA and IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence. The term Wi-Fi was then invented by the Interbrand. It came from the play words of terms such as 'Hi-Fi' or 'High Fidelity'.This is also considered the biggest communications transmitter around the world. Some of the popular devices that can make use of the Wi-Fi technology are smartphones, tablets, computers, laptops, video-game consoles, smart TVs, and more.
