"This fits the topic exactly. The user reviews seems mostly positive, although I saw a few concerns. It hasn't been updated recently, so I assume the concerns persist. Still, it seems to basically do what it claims. "

WHAT'S THE MEANING?

Wi-Fi or WiFi is a technology which is used for wireless local area network with devices in accordance with IEEE 802.11 standards. It was founded in September 1990, and it has been in the industry for almost thirty years already. Before being popularly recognized as 'Wi-Fi', it was called WaveLAN, FlankSpeed, DragonFly, WECA and IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence. The term Wi-Fi was then invented by the Interbrand. It came from the play words of terms such as 'Hi-Fi' or 'High Fidelity'.This is also considered the biggest communications transmitter around the world. Some of the popular devices that can make use of the Wi-Fi technology are smartphones, tablets, computers, laptops, video-game consoles, smart TVs, and more.

"Wireless Network Watcher is actually something I've been looking for. I had a situation where my internet was slowing down and I had no Idea why! (though I suspected it might be someone on my network but didnt see them) people don't know this but the built in "windows network" thats supposed to show you who is on your network (and let you connect to it) actually is not all that its cracked out to be, there are operiating systems incompatibilitys with it! for example I have 2 computers and my roomate has one I have Windows 7 on mine, my roomate has windows 10 and the other computer has linux, we are all on the same network! However when I went to my network settings, knowing about the other computers on the network, it only showed me the windows 7 network! While my roomate saw the windows 10, and windows 7 network he did not see the linux network...Why does this matter? Because people could be on your network and youll never even know!! Not only can they slow your bandwith but they may be able to access your files too!!! (and trust me when I say I know this is possible, I am a tech) they can even cut your intenet off with a method called netcut if they know enough!! Well wireless network watcher takes care of this issue, those computer using other OS's that Windows might miss, it will catch!! and it even shows you there IP so you'll know whos connected, if its someone you trust you can just check what there ip is and its no problem, but if its an unrecognized IP you know someone is there that shouldn't be, then you at least know to change your password! The only real con is you have no way to boot them from the program itself and you have to monitor it yourself as you wont be notified, but as I said you can just change your wifi password if your compromised!!"

"My Internet has been crawling along, the router lights were blinking when I shut my laptop down, and I was convinced someone was stealing Wi-Fi from me. I followed these suggestions to get to the root of the problem. Sure enough, my son had shared the password with the guy in the apartment next door. I'm just relieved to know that I wasn't losing my mind and that the password had been given away rather than hacked. At any rate, problem solved!"
