"I was looking for a guide to teaching myself piano, and found this basic piano course. It's got a lot of useful exercises, but it's really intended to be used with an instructor as a way to practice. I'm not sure how well it will work to teach myself from the beginning, although I do think I'm starting to get better!"

"Pretty cool. It's certainly not the classic way to learn piano and it won't make a virtuoso out of you, but if you want to introduce a child to the joys of piano playing, or like me, you want to try to get something a little presentable out of the piano that's sitting in your living room, it's a good first step."

"I feel this was a valuable resource to have. It would keep me learning and busy with examples and techniques from beginner to more advanced. It covers a decent range and has some good lessons. Not only can i practice the examples and learn chords and scales , i can also learn some theory as well and combine the two, which will improve my playing. I ,too, shall have my hat out at the local dive making $36.40 a night in tips with the help of this book. "

"I've been working on teaching myself how to play the piano for a long time now, and I think this guy - Painojohn113 - is one of my favorite places to do just that. His camera positioning is perfect - you can see every key that he is hitting so you can be sure you'll have ll the info you'll need about playing the proper notes, and he covers all your favorite music like this! I get lost in these videos for hours, just prop the old phone up on the piano and away you go!"

"I have wanted to learn how to play piano since I was a kid. But, I don't learn well from others. I guess it's just that rebel inside me that just can't sit still and listen to a teacher lecture me. As an adult though, I really regretted the fact that I never learned. A friend of mine recommended Pianoplayingadvice.com. It took me a little while to really get the hand of it and it will take much more practice before I'd call myself an actual piano player but I am well on my way! I love the fact that I can go at my own pace and I don't have any authority figures looming over me."

"This is a really helpful tool for anyone learning an instrument. It has definitely bolstered my in-person lessons -- it's almost like have a tutor at home during practice! It isn't going to teach you technique, but it definitely helps keep you on track. I'm kind of addicted to it at this point."

"I have used 911 tabs ever since I was a 15 year old teen girl singing my heart out with my keyboard in my childhood bedroom. 911 tabs has every song you might ever want to learn from Celine Dion to Jason Mraz. While they might not be the best for actually teaching yourself the fundamentals of piano, I've found them to be a great supplement to my more traditional learning methods."
