Did you know that WWE pro wrestling shows are not real? World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., abbreviated WWE, popularized pro wrestling as a TV entertainment. Even before the show starts, there is already a predetermined winner. The choreographed stunts aim to not injure fellow wrestlers while giving a good show. In the 1980s, the Athletic State Commission lobbied for WWE's regulation. This meant imposing taxes on every wrestling events. On 10 February 1989, WWE Chief Vince McMahon gave definition to "sports entertainment." In other words, he admitted that WWE was not a bona fide athletic contest. Professional wrestling is a combat entertainment where no one gets hurt.
So why do people still watch wrestling even if they know it is fake? There are lots of reasons. Spectators admire the choreographed stunts on live. Viewers idolize the strong, muscular men and women in the ring. And, as with any shows for entertainment, WWE's got a lot of drama in it. Humor, joy, love stories, pain, betrayal, action, happiness, overcoming challenges, family issues... WWE has it. There are popular WWE superstars which WWE fans want to always watch. There are The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), John Cena, and The Undertaker ( Mark William Calaway). Add to this list Stone Cold (Steve Austin) and Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea). For people who want to watch wrestling free, there are plenty of sites offering this. Anyone can watch WWE online free but only old episodes. Newer episodes are more likely not yet posted online.
