Did you know that the game makers in Roblox, the hit platform where both amateur and professional game developers can share and earn money for their work, earned as much as $2 million in 2017? According to Business Insider, Roblox has been a gift to small-time developers since it offers a way to create games and share it with a very large and active network since Roblox is available on PCs, tablets, and Xbox One, and has more than 64 million players. Royalties from in-game purchases are the main moneymakers for the developers, and some games enjoy a very large paying community that its creators earned more than $2 million in one year alone. One game maker named Alex Belfanz earned enough money that it supported his undergraduate education at Duke University, similar to Andrew Bereza, the 18-year-old creator of "Miner's Heaven" that will support his undergraduate education at University of Washington using his sales from Roblox. The boom helped not only the game creators and developers but also designers and artists, including the 18-year-old Annie Shoemaker, who has earned enough to fund her own project in Roblox, and Kacey Matthews, the 17-year-old designer who helped many games improve their design.
