"Despite having elements of "moe" and slight "haram" tropes, this show is full of heart. You'll get to see and even empathize the situations and troubles that the main characters have that might reflect on your experiences when you were in high school."

"There was not particularly special about this show that others haven't tried before but everything just works well. At first, I was a little concerned about the pacing but I'm glad I stuck with it. It was a cute and funny show that ended a bit too early to give all its characters to fully develop. Maybe a second season will come and fix this. Who knows. Overall, a nice watch."

DID YOU KNOW?

Sazae-san holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running animated television series. Sazae-san was a manga series written and illustrated by artist Machiko Hasegawa. Its first issue arrived on April 22, 1946, in the local paper of Hasegawa called Fukunichi Shinbun. The story in the manga featured contemporary situations in Tokyo. It was before Hasegawa decided to retire and end the manga series on February 21, 1974. TCJ studio, now called Eiken developed an anime series based on it. It first aired on October 5, 1969, and now has 7,542 episodes and counting. The story revolved around Sazae. At the start, she was not interested in dressing up in a kimono and putting on makeup. She would rather spend time with her horse than find a potential husband. She was always portrayed as a very liberated woman. She will be facing her neighbors' issue with her bossy attitude towards her husband. Always conflicting with the common belief that men are the head of the household.

The core of the story is in such a light and easy fashion around the large family dynamic. The Sazae-san anime invokes nostalgic memories from the traditional Japanese Society. Since it features a simpler time before the arrival of modern technology. No anime has ever replicated the longevity and number of episodes that Sazae-san had. There are plenty of other anime shows in other genres that go beyond the standard 24-episode count. These anime shows might be short but are some of the best anime ever. From the best romance anime to the best action and comedy anime. There is some for everyone. Even if you're new to anime, there are plenty of show to get you started on your anime journey.

"I believe that Blue Spring Ride is a great solution to anyone's Romance Anime problem, and it opens the door to so many other anime series. The characters are very likable, the storyline is easy to follow, and I don't mind that there are only English subtitles. Not only is it about finding love, but it's also about finding and loving yourself."
