"Was recently rejected by a person I had fallen in love with and I just wanted to read something that fit my situation. So far a very interesting book, I didn't think I'd like it because it resembles typical Japanese anime something I'm not a fan of. But the writing is great and the characters are easy to get attached too. It's neat finding happiness in a situation similar to my own."

"I'm trying to find the top ten best romance books about unrequited love for my lonely Valentine's Day, but I don't have a lot of time to waste trying to figure out which books are the best that have been written so far. Unfortunately stores like Amazon.com don't provide much in terms of whether or not the products they are selling are any better than any others. For example: despite the fact that Amazon.com lists "A Kingdom of Dreams" as being written by a bestselling author, I'm still not sure after looking at the book's store listing whether or not it is any better than any other book about unrequited love. Reviews written by buyers may not be the most reliable. Perhaps if the store included literary reviews, it would be more suited for my search purposes."

"I'm not sure this fits the bill. It was a great read, of course. But the book is more about the scheming and blowback than it actually is about the unrequited love. I think there are probably better options out there."

"It was interesting but not particularly memorable. Not as good as a patch on The Quiet American by the same author. The characters seemed a bit distant from the reader Not best rather average."

"'A Bit of Rough' by Laura Baumbach is heavily influenced by the surge in popularity of '50 Shades of Gray'. It just so happens to be about two men, one meek and professional, the other forceful and self-assured, who strike up a relationship. This isn't my cup of tea, but my wife seemed to enjoy it in prolonging the fantasy that came from reading the aforementioned 50 Shades."

"A Duke of Her Own is one of those touchy, feel-y, makes you feel good type books. Almost a page from Cinderella, actually, if you consider the cover art. It revolved around having to have a quick wedding and a suitable woman must be found. This is the quest. Overall, pretty good, but not really my type of book. But, if you're a fan of fairy tales and love ever-after, this might be for you."
