"Pride and Prejudice is a classic read. I don't think I'd call it a Cinderella them though. It's quite the page turner however."

"Rebecca is considered by several people as a classic of gothic romance. It tells us the story of a nameless, shy and not to special protagonist who marries Maxim de Winter, a rich and charming man that doubles her age. When they move to his house, she is haunted by the pressence of Rebecca, his late wife. I think this is an interesting story, but too descriptive for my taste and the main character is weak and easy to manipulate. There is a sense of mistery the whole book, which kept me going, there was something off about Maxim. The relationship was confusing to me, he seemed to not love the MC but turns out he did? The setting is beautiful and helps make the atmosphere of the book something unique. "

"I am a big fan of fairy tales and all of those Disney princess type stories. I decided to read Five Glass Slippers and was hooked by the end of the first chapter. I loved the romance and how it tied into the Cinderella theme. "

"I was looking for some romance novels similar to Cinderella when I came across "An Offer From a Gentleman." This is effectively a re-telling of the Cinderella story in the Bridgerton style. I enjoyed it very much, and I hope to one day have my own Cinderella story."

"The Princess of Glass is a cute book that I enjoyed reading. I loved the character of Poppy and how smart she is in overcoming evil. I also loved the semi-reverse cinderella plot line that where the "godmother" is actually evil and helping her servant (who once was rich) for the prince (Ellen). It is good but a bit hard to keep up with at all the names they give Ellen (aka Lady Ella aka Eleonora) but overall it was quite the charming tale."

"Who doesn't just LOVE the Princess Diaries. I saw the movie first--BIG MISTAKE! The book is always better and this one really is. The movie does an injustice to it--even though I loved the movie too if that makes any sense. This is a great book to set off an even better series. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!!!"

"I love EJ. I have read everything she has written thus far, and started her fairytale series two weeks ago. I finished this [A Kiss at Midnight] two days ago. I read through it pretty quickly, and did find myself interested in the plot, characters, wit, and fun of it. I was not expecting this book to be historically accurate or the language to be perfect either. She states as much in her notes at the end of the book. When I want a serious romance I read Jane Austen (or another author of the same ilk), when I want some hanky-panky I go for EJ. I read this book in the spirit it was intended, as a fun fictional romp in an imaginary land, in an imaginary time, (though the places mentioned are real, the details are not and I understood that)."
