"This novel is a compelling and bittersweet tale of love among differences of race and culture. It gives an eye opening look into little things people who pair with similar backgrounds may not experience, and for that, I appreciate it. The writing is a bit flat, and more emotional than visual, but what it says is more important than how it's said."

"This is a story of one's first true love, when both participants are around the age of 16 years old. Not only is this a charming story, but it is targeted towards youngsters of this age, while still treating these readers as having an elevated intelligence; some reviewers have included quotes from the book that reveal an enchanting use of words. However, apart from a plot line in which one character is "different" from the other, I cannot find any reference to "interracial" about this book. This book may or may not fit the category of "with interracial couples" in "best romance books"."

"I saw the reviews for this one so I thought it would be worth a shot, especially since I'm a fan of Asian culture. It's well written, but I don't like how they made the female protagonist a "seductress" - as if women can't wield any other power than that! It was a bit offensive to me. Pass."

"Even though it was short, this book was very impactful. I could totally identify with LaToya because she is me. From the size to reading as my hobby. Although Mitch was gorgeous and well-build, he had just as much esteem problems as Toya. His ex made him feel like he wasn't good enough, in spite of. This book showed how two people found strength in each other. And because of that, they were able to accept themselves and each other as they are. When you have the love and backing of a good man or woman, your world is a whole lot better as the materialistic and superficial things are non-existent. Love knows no color or size. Love is an equal opportunity desire that we all want to achieve and have."
