"A lady friend of mine loves romance books, and she loves pirates, so I thought I'd get her a book combining the two, and a brief search on Amazon brought me to the imaginatively-named 'Pirates' by Linda Lael Miller. I went ahead and picked up a copy, didn't read it, because it's not really my thing, but she was grateful to get it, and told me it was pretty good."

"I was looking for a good romance book with pirates and found The Ugly Duchess (Fairy Tales Series). This is one in a series, and its a really cool story take because its based on an old fairy tale. It has pirates involved, so I was happy with that. Overall, I highly recommend this book, it was a lot of fun."

"I had originally borrowed this from a friend to read, i did not finish it because he had to go back home and he lives out of the country. But i did download it on my Kindle . I have read some of her stuff before and this one is right there in the middle, it is not the best nor the worst . It's right there in the middle as an average one. "

"This was an interesting book. There's so much suspense and drama as Caine tries to achieve revenge for his younger brother's death. And then his lust for revenge leads to a romance with Jade, which is why I picked the book up. But I was hoping for the romance to be WITH the pirate. So I think I'll keep reading other pirate romance books to find something more like what I'm looking for. "

"Once you get past the seasickness, the idea of being trapped out on the high sea in the company of a strapping brute with a disarming sensitive side is just unbearably sexy. Set in the 18th century, "A Pirate's Pleasure" tells the story of Skye, whose ship is taken by pirates while crossing the Atlantic. Skye is held captive by the Silver Hawk, who is immediately taken by her beauty. She takes a little more time to warm up, but oh boy. Just read it! You won't be sorry."

"This book is known as a "bodice-ripper", despite its being a Winner of the Romantic Times Award for Best English Historical Romance in 1990. It is set in 17th century England, when there were still rogue pirates on the high seas. Like most of these types of books, you end up hating yourself for continuing to read it. These books are generally just trash. It is on the same level as eating an entire bag of candy in one sitting."
