"I will admit that I have had an obsession with vampires since I was a teen, and I've seen the movie based on this book, so I kind of had to get it. It's surprisingly good, and does take me back to the days of daydreaming about the eternal kiss and other fantastical romantic things. Really a good choice for that!"

"This book has pretty decent reviews but I wouldn't say it could be considered the best of its peers. Also while it does appear to be fantasy it does not look like romance is a component of the book so it misses the mark there."

"This is a great little fantasy book, mostly ideal for teens I would say. It has a lot of interesting characters and the story has some great depth to it. The writing can be a bit weak in parts so it won't be for everyone but as I said it is likely ideal for teens. If you like other books in this general category then you will like this as well."

"I think these books get a lot of unfair hate. For the target demographic, they're fairly well written. I didn't find them to be extraordinary or anything but they're not bad, especially for teens. Cute story with some clever writing throughout."

"Great fantasy story involving likable characters. The author does such a good job of world building that many of the places feel like real historical places. Lots of subplots within the greater plot, which makes it even more interesting."

"This was an incredibly frustrating read. The main character eventually gets jealous and begins to act like crap. She also just goes on a spree where she can't do ANYTHING right. Teens may enjoy this but older people probably won't."

"My daughter wanted to buy this. I read the summary. It looks like someone just cut and pasted the Twilight plot and changed a few words. The main character's name is "Ever Bloom". Seriously. Granted, the author's name is "Alyson Noel", so hideously pretentious names probably goes without saying. What astounds me is that there were at least 606 people who actually paid money for this fecal brick of a book. "
