"Notes from an accidental band geek is an interesting fiction book which I wouldn't really call a romance novel, but it does feature some romantic situations. What it is is a really nice story about a normal person trying to love their life."

"This is a lovely young adult romance novel. Gemma is on the majorette squad and has to deal with a manipulative best friend, brought back a lot of high school memories, not all of them good. The marching band is present in this romance but isn’t really the focus plus this is young, I’m not sure how many adults will enjoy it."

"Band Geek for Life is one of the best romance novels featuring a marching band. I was in a marching band in college so I just couldn't pass this one up. It was pretty steamy in parts which is exactly what I was hoping for. I found myself getting lost in the writing which is always a good sign. Indeed, I thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"This is definitely a young adult novel. Younger than that even, closer to 13-16. I am not a young adult, so let's just say I'm not the target audience for this. But, my niece is 14, and in a marching band, and trying to get over her first real crush (he decided to date the blond girl instead), so I got this for her. And she adored it. Apparently, while being relatively sweet and innocent, it does capture some of the pettiness of early teen drams (my niece said "I totally feel like these people are in my class!"). So it's a thumbs up from the target audience."

"I'm not sure if there are too many romance novels specifically revolving around being in a marching band other than this one and the previous book in this series, so I feel it automatically has to be at least an alright choice, as there are not many other options in this niche. However, these books are certainty not perfect. They are pretty predictable, and the quality tends to vary throughout the books - they start off strong, but quickly lose their unique "voices". This is more a story about a rather specific situation that you'd like if you'd want to read about that than an overall well-written book that just happens to be about a certain trope."

"In my experience, there is not a lot of choice for this particular genre with romances featuring marching bands, though there are a couple that are YA. So, Biggest Flirts isn't dealing with a lot of competition, and though it's a YA romance and a bit tame, it could still be considered among the tops of the genre given the limited choices."

"Very very cute concept for a book. I think this is more of a feminine read. I would recommend this book to my wife. She would enjoy reading this book. "
