"I'm not sure I would consider this romance novel to have a 'disabled' main character, but she certainly has had a difficult past. Read how she grows and overcomes adversity . Get yourself swept up in this budding romance. There is some terrific character development as well."

"I found this book very unique, since I have not come across a romance novel with disable main characters, they are usually so perfect and irresistible. I got this book from my disabled friend, Angie. When I read it I was glad to be reading something different. Since I have read pretty much most scenarios romance novels had to offer and they were beginning to sound cliche."

"Blue Skies (Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan) was a fun book to read that has a western feel and all the roguish elements of a cowboy in the main character. I thought it was a little slow in the beginning but it got exciting quickly and soon I couldn't put it down."

"It's pretty tacky and the story is not believable. But Mrs. Enoch does have a talent for writing so it can be palatable at times at least. If you have absolutely nothing else to read, it'll do I guess."

"While I do feel this type of story has been told time and time again --- the person who has essentially given up on love until they meet "That special someone --- I do think it is still effective as long as our characters are likable, and we as the readers or viewers, want to see them get their "Happy ending." I think Phantom Waltz does have the potential to be a fun read!"

"I believe this book is a good representation of this category because one of the characters has been mute for 8 years. The only issue is that he chose not to speak but it is still a disability since he didn't talk for 8 years. It fits in the love story genre since him and a woman fall in love."

"This was a completely realistic book with respect to disabilities among vets, and it was done in an admirable and respectful way. With that said, I thought some of the characters were a little shallow and could have been fleshed out more by the author. Maybe a good read to pass the time, but don't look for anything heartwrenching or profound here."

"I liked the first book in this series – only connected by the fact that they’re fairy-tale-retellings, nothing else – but had some issues with it. The chief one being that the heroine wasn’t at all likable. She did some pretty despicable things to her sister for no apparent reason. So, despite the fact that A Kiss at Midnight got better towards the end, I was leery of starting the second book. It’s my favorite re-telling, hands down, and I was afraid that I’d end up hating it. That is not the case here. I absolutely adored Linnet from the first moment that we meet her. She’s smart, sarcastic, funny, sensible, quick, thoughtful, and pragmatic. She’s beautiful, and she knows it; she uses that to her best advantage, but never really believes she’s better or more worthy because of her beauty. She knows that it’s something she had no control over, just like her birth as one of the aristocrats, so it’s not something she’s particularly proud of."
