"First things first, if you haven't already, you need to read the first two books of The Infernal Devices. Then, read Clockwork Princess. The third book of the series is my favorite. This book will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Some people will hate the ending, but I thought it was a perfectly exciting conclusion to the series! "

"I found the book to be pretty good, but it kind of dragged for me in parts. It felt like it needed trimmed down or something. Anyway, I enjoyed it despite that, and the setting with all the steampunk elements is soooooo good. The romance works, but it really is the setting you'll fall in love with - or at least, I did."

"I found the world I entered into in this book to be highly textured. I enjoy great character development and foung that in Blade. The Steampunk universe created here is one I would not mind travelling back into again on occasion. While I might not rush out on the day the book drops to grab the sequil it is certainly on my radar to check out."

In the 1800's, they arose and massacred the human population in northern Europe, America, and Asia during a time known as the Great Killing. 150 years later, humans still know little about their vampire adversaries. They are not believed to be animated human corpses, but parasitic creatures that require human blood to survive. "My wife read this book and told me it does not live up to it's ratings. The characters are sloppy, almost as if an amateur has written the dialogues. She didn't like the ending either because it's a cliff hanger (she doesn't like these types of endings). She also mentioned that the story was weak and didn't keep her attention."
