"The cover of this book caught my attention when I was at my local book store. I picked it up and skimmed it and knew it was a book I had to buy. I wasn't disappointed. The characters are identifiable and well developed. This is a romantic novel with an abusive humiliating twist. Give it a try if that's what your looking for! Not for children, obviously. "

"I have been really intrigued by this series. The two main vampire characters have a lot of angst and you can really feel that as a reader. There is a lot going on in the book and while it has gotten rid of most of the romance in the book, it centers more around these characters and even new characters whose story is just beginning."

"Everyone loves a dark and brooding character; I know I do. And one of the ways that individuals become dark and brooding is through abuse, neglect, and trauma. This contribution to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series features brooding characters in an urban fantasy setting. "

"A boring and repetitive book to read with no depth whatsoever. I feel like this book is also trying to justify why people in the ghetto start taking drugs, almost as if the author is defending it. This is one of those books you read and wonder who told the author that she should be a writer."

"I absolutely love the Crossfire series. I don't know what it is about Gideon and Eva, but they just pull me in. They both have traumatic pasts and that plays into their relationship in some very scary ways. I literally couldn't put the third book, Entwined With You down because it just sucks you deeper into their story."

"I like a great romance story and when Consequences was told to me as one of the best one, I had to pick it up and read it! Well, let's just say this book didn't live up to my expectations. Any novel glamorizing abuse isn't one I want to read."

"I guess this fits the title with abused or traumatized characters. It tells the story of someone who is kidnapped and has Stockholm Syndrome. Not my genre. I did not like the book and the erotica seemed forced literally. I did not finish it. "

"I hate romances that feature perfect goody-goody characters that only feature a fake secret to make them seem interesting. Well, this book has genuinely effed up characters that have been through some real situations. It is a no holds bar approach that is pretty different from what you get in most romances. I'd say go for it, but know what you're getting into (some heavy stuff)."

    Reflected in You (Crossfire)
The Gideon and Eva romance continues in the second book of the 'Crossfire Series': they both need each other to recover from their own cases of sex abuse during their childhood, a past that doesn't get on the way of steamy sex scenes but will put in danger their overall relationship.

"I enjoyed this novel. You would think that having two main characters that are broken and damaged would mean that a relationship would never work but the author does an amazing job spinning a tale where the main characters are so flawed that they are perfect for one another. This is a very good trilogy about two people are tied to one another because they have the same needs. "

"The book follows a family in a very interest way while doing a great job of diving deep into the evils of a small town. You get into the characters learning to love some and dislike others. Had potential tobe one of my favorites but without spolilers, the ending was a let down. Not bad but very cookie cutter and blank, make the novel pretty good instead of great."
