For an RPG, this one is great! The complexity of the ships really got my attention.

This game was a lot of fun. It was a little complicated to learn at first. Once I had developed a strategy I was able to do well.

Mass Effect 2 is an amazing game. The enemies in this game are difficult to beat which adds a really fun challenge. The weapon choices and alliance options make this game so easy to personalize. The graphics in this game are great, I would definitely recommend it! More

With a lack of games in the current market, I've been looking forward to playing a RPG space game. Just when I thought I couldn't find any, I came across Rebel Galaxy. Rebel Galaxy solves my problem of my desire to play a RPG space game, and it does so with stellar gameplay and mechanics. More

Extremely boring game. Not plot, gameplay isn't engaging, and the graphics are awful.
by Jonathan Duncan
I'm always looking for something new to play, so I decided to check out Rebel Galaxy from Steam. It's a pretty awesome game - I like the way the game is laid out, and the negotiation aspects are especially cool. More
by Brandon Smith
This looks like a cool game. The graphics are detailed and I could see myself playing this for a long time.
by Patrick Willis
Rebel Galaxy is a bad knock off of the Fallout video game franchise. The graphics are very glitchy and the story line leaves little to the imagination. It's very easy to predict what's going to happen next. More

This is not good. I love space adventures. Trust me, I've played them all. From galaga to space invaders, but this is just cheap, mass=produced junk that maybe could sustain the attention of a toddler. But I doubt it. Everything about this is just bad. No. I don't recommend. More

I was hoping that it could find another game called XCOM. Maybe it can find something else.
by Keith Coleman
This is an immersive gaming experience. It is an immersive space flying experience. I spent hours and hours in this game. It's a lot of grinding, but that also adds to the realism of this game. I like it, I think you might too. More
by Larry Collins
I would classify this as a MMO type game, I do not think it is necessarily a RPG. I was also not very impressed with the game. It does take in space, it just was not very entertaining or high quality. More
by Charles Nguyen
I had always wanted to get a feel a space game that had a great story. A friend of mine recommended this game and it blew my mind away with how detailed it is. More

Not quite a true RPG, but rather an arcade shooter, this game takes place in the vast emptiness of space, where you'll be piloting various spaceships and fighting off hundreds more. Build and upgrade your rig outfitting it with all sorts of guns and attachments, to take your spaceflight adventure to the next level. More
by Lawrence Washington
Ho hum. I was not very impressed by this game. The graphics were just OK but the gameplay itself seemed awful repetitive. I quickly got bored by this and stopped playing. I like similiar games so I thought I'd give it a shot. But two thumbs down on this one. More

Ahh, I remember System Shock quite well from my early days of video gaming. It is a wonderful space based RPG that is quite a bit different from Final Fantasy and the likes, but uses the same turn based fight systems and the like to provide a different take on the RPG genre that works. Definitely check it out on an emulator or other system. More
by Alan Sheng
Want to shock your system in style? System Shock 2 will keep you happily blasting evil doers and fighting for your life and the future of mankind as well as anything out there. An old classic that has kept mainstream on all levels. Shoot em up! More

I think Galactic Phantasy Prelude has the potential to be a great RPG space game. The controls are a bit tricky once you get started, and the tutorial is a bit lackluster so there is a bit of a learning curve once you get started with this game. However, overall the game is a great time sink. More

Galactic Phantasy Prelude is an RPG that I played last night. I'm impressed and this game has a potential in terms of its challenges to its players.

This is nice for killing time.
by Justin Johnson
Although this falls into the space RPG category, I feel that this is a very watered down RPG and doesn't really lend much depth to the gaming experience. There are much better alternatives, but this would be a good introduction game to bigger and better things. More
by Brittany Simmons
My buddy said this is like the best space RPG game. I beg to disagree, the plot drags and the mechanics are boring as all get out.

Mass Effect 3 is a very good game, though I might not strictly classify it as an RPG. It is equally as much about futuristic gun and melee combat. The game's story and lore are compelling and absorbing, as many long time fans probably already know. Anyone interested in the series probably already has this game, and it's a good introduction to Mass Effect for those who haven't played any of the other titles. More

This is one of those games every Role Play Gamer will love to play! I already completed the first two episodes and I cannot wait to play the third one as well! More

STARWARS Knights of the Old Republic was a retro gem I came across while playtesting many different RPGs. The storyline, characters, and gameplay were all amazing and really immersed you into the starwars world. Although the graphics were lacking and the gameplay was not as long as I hoped, it was a "stellar" time. I almost prefer that the game was shorter because it felt perfect for the storyline, and did not drag on. More
by Pranav Patel
I love KoToR, such a great game and really still holds up today. If you want an awesome RPG experience I say go for it.
by Joe Matthews
If you are a huge Star Wars fan like myself, you will greatly enjoy this game. This is a game in which you, the user gets to choose their own path. There is so many levels to this game that you will not get bored of playing. More
by Zhao He
Knight of the Old Republic follows the Star Wars theme, but its more of a walk-based combat RPG. You do not necessarily travel space often, but there are multiple worlds you can travel to on your starship. Space combat is non-existent, but it does provide a gripping RPG concept. You can choose your party, build your character with over 40 different 'powers' for your lightsaber and battle against the Slith. More
by Anne Hatzakis null
Considering that this game was released in 2003, the graphics are actually very good. It inspired an online RPG that is still going strong despite the graphics looking aged (after SIX years and running) More

XCOM: Enemy Within is one of the most popular new releases around for the PC. It runs on PC's and iOS devices as well. It's hugely popular and really fun. It's probably one of the best selling new games on the market. Half shooter and half RTS, it has all the bases covered. More
by Zachary Day
When it comes to RPGs, I consider myself an expert. XCOM is one of my favorites in the genre. With XCOM: Enemy Within, I was able to expand on the strategy game. This featured many more maps and adventures. This content was worth the purchase. More

XCOM Enemy Within is a great throwback to the classic games on the SNES. It's nice that they brought it back and took good care of the name.

Freelance is my go to when I want to unwind. This is the best RPG space game, hands down. There are tons of upgrades and addons, the fun is unlimited! I have not been able to find another that exceeds my expectations the way that Freelancer does. More

Freelancer is a good game for me since it has a strong storyline which the players will discover in playing the game.

This is more of a space flight game and less RPG than I want. Show me games that are more about just playing as a character in an RPG style setting.

While the game is a bit older, Knights of the Old Republic 2 is an awesome RPG game set in space. It takes place in the star wars environment and keeps you hooked from beginning to end. The game gets overall great reviews and I agree that it's a must play. More

KOTOR2 is one of the best games to have ever come out. This is the game that all RPG space games should look up towards.

If you're a fan of Star Trek, as well as RPGs, this game may be for you. It's not just a game, though, but rather a special anniversary edition of the 25-year-old series! Some of them are quite old, but for a true fan, it's more of a story-telling adventure than a worry about graphics or gameplay. Check it out and either relive, or explore for the first time, the early Star Trek video game collection! More

What ever Trekkie needs in their life, a good, old-fashioned (looking) Star Trek game to waste countless minutes playing on. My boyfriend joked that this was my new hobby and I'm afraid it might not be so funny. This game is addicting, I'm obsessed with exploring new worlds and finding out more about the character schemes the game has employed. More
