- #1May 27, 2019"I really thought Alaska was gonna win season 5. Don't get me wrong... I like Jinx, but she wasn't polished enough and Alaska was playing on a different level than the rest of the queens. Well, At least Miss Thunderf**k won AS2 so all is good in the world. RuPaul Drag Race Season 5 was so good because it gave us all the drama, momma. Everyone versus Serena Chacha was a particular highlight. That Untucked moment will forever be a part of drag race herstory. Too bad drag race is so mainstream now recent queens have lost their cattiness. I miss the good ol' days when a queen can be messy like Detox and Roxxxy and not get a sh*t storm of backlash on social media. There's a reason why half of AS2 is filled with S5 girls."

The first time lip-sync for your legacy happened (and the only time it worked 'coz it was a GAG), the Alyssa/Tatianna lip-sync, Rolaskatox saving Roxxxy's a** several times, PhiPhi losing her s**t. Back when an All-Star season was good. AS4 was good for the most part, but when Manila got eliminated it just went downhill. But AS2 is the gold standard of a great drag race season. If only Katya won, it would have been totally perfect. Hey, Alaska deserved her spot in the Hall of Fame, but Katya is my mom."

The reveal worked because it was truly unexpected and it enhanced the song. Queens nowadays will do any ruveal just for the heck of it and it feels inorganic and desperate.
