"What's not to love about King's novels? Many have seen the movie adaptations, but I suggest that everyone read the book as well. There are many details missed in the movie that adds to the original charm of this literature. I remember my mom getting this book from the library when I was little. We read it together, and I've been a fan ever since. I consider this tale to be classically scary."

"So many horror stories want to tell you it's all true, that everything you're reading or watching really happened to these poor terrorized people. This story, I'm not sure what to think. Some of the things are believable, others are less so. But they're all scary, sometimes downright horrific and gruesome. This book is famous for the movie, but on the page the events are even more difficult to get through. I guess it's the difference between seeing it, and letting your own imagination fill in the blanks. Don't read it at night like I did; I had to use sleeping pills for a month to get some rest."
