"This is quite the horror fest and I would say that if your main goal is to both be scared and to scare anybody else you watch this movie with, then give this a watch. Though I would add that it's not a particularly well-written script."

"The best scary movies are ones that stay with you your entire life. They make you look around your room for ghost. They make you check your closet for dolls. They make you look under the bed for monsters. I want to revist my favorite movies and I think this is a great source for that. "

"I've heard from friends of mine that this is one of the best scary/horror films to be released in recent time. So if I was looking for the best recent scary film, The Babadook would definitely be on the shortlist. If I wasn't concerned about whether it was old or recent though it probably wouldn't be as high on my list."

"Being a horror movie fanatic, not to mention avid user of Netflix, I'm always on the lookout for good scary movies to stream. The Invitation definitely doesn't disappoint. It was a nightmare. Really tense, kind of awkward in a way. It was almost hard to watch, not because of jump scares or whatever trope you see all the time in horror nowadays but just because of how tense the whole thing is. Kinda reminded me of Creep. Very good. Recommended. "

"I really needed to watch a scary movie, something besides the classics like Nightmare on Elm Street, and Saw really filled that space. I enjoyed this movie very much. It was very tense, and difficult to watch at points, but actually seemed a little realistic. Some madman might actually be able to capture you and put you through hell. That's the scariest part."
