"No boys allowed, haha! A Wrinkle in Time is a great book in a great series for young girls! A lot of science fiction isn't really inclusive for girls, having boy characters with boy problems. This is a book about a girl and for girls, and it's nice to see science fiction be inclusive in that regard. This book is a great way to introduce some equality and inclusiveness to the genre and engage young girl readers. Buy it!"

"Fantasy does not mean SCI-FI. The definitions are different and so are their subject matter. Dragonflight, while a great book, falls into the fantasy realm. SAD!"

"The Telling is a great science fiction book about a girl who discovers a long lost religion. She follows people into the mountains and discovers what has been suppressed from her life for so long. I like the elements of sci-fi dropped into this book, but it is mostly a girl who is discovering her true self."

"It's great that more and more sci-fi books are targeted for girls, or at least don't market so exclusively to boys. With this spirit in mind, A Canticle for Leibowitz is a fine example of a book that has widespread appeal. The main drawback I had with the book is that it was extremely slow-moving, but ultimately it still held my interest. There is no shortage of post-apocalyptic books these days, but A Canticle for Leibowitz tells a story that's good enough to stand out above the average book."

"I loved every chapter. I enjoyed reading about different worlds, daemons, armored bears, witches, spectors, mulefa, angels, Authority, and golden dust. I liked the names of fictional geographical regions being similar to the real names because it immediately created a general picture in my mind. I also greatly enjoyed the incorporation of elements of old and current religious beliefs, ancient myths, and even some science into the plot because it added the feeling of familiarity."

"Doing a first read through just to make sure this book is good for my nieces i found it to be a slow start. The book mixes a few genres fairly well but takes a few pulls to get the engine going and then its off to the races where at some point it falls off the rails."

"This is a great book for girls or boys! It features computer programs called "Daemons" who are set to run in the background of a computer until they're triggered, but when one gamer has passed away, a very threatening Daemon is unleashed. I think this wild tale of how our world is interconnected between computers and society."

"This is at its heart a love story that emerges between two very different people aboard a spaceship. One is from a rich family, the other from a poor one and the two begin at odds with each other, but then something else develops between them. Their relationship is set against a backdrop of the situation they are in, which is stranded on a far-flung planet, hoping rescuers can find them before it's too late. I like the suspense elements and the structure of the book, which alternates between the perspectives of the two main characters. "
