"This novel seems really cliche and boring from what I read in the synopsis, or maybe It's just not for me but the idea of a group of teenagers on the run just seems overused."

"It's too political for a fantasy story. The female author doesn't know how to develop the character. It's not as original as people say."

"Hmm, I'm conflicted about how to talk about this one. I enjoyed it, but I feel like it is so much less than it could have been. It's heavy on the metaphor, and I think the author relies too much on reader filling in/creating the story in themselves. I feel like another two books and a lot more world building would make this an amazing book. As it stands though, I have to say it's just ok, despite how much I enjoyed it. "

"I gave this to my seven year old daughter and she loves it. The main character, Lucy, develops specials powers after she gets struck by lightning (she gains the ability to fly). The are other delightful characters throughout the book like Paula (Lucy's best friend) and Nicholas (Lucy's brother) that only serve to enhance the wonder. The book is surprisingly funny and is filled with jokes."
