"I'm really interested in science fiction worlds and I love romance as well. It can often be tricky to find a good romance book set in a science fiction world. But recently I found a really well done one entitled "The Last Hour of Gann." Most importantly it makes me feel like the world they're living in a truly real and like somewhere I'd be able to visit. The romance in it is really well done as well. I feel like all of the characters are true and like people I could associate with. I feel like each of them really had true feelings."

"I love to read fiction. A good science fiction book really gets me going. the Ninth Orb touched on all the major areas in a book that you want to see. This kept me engaged and really involved in what was going on with the novel. I appreciated what it was."

"This is probably the worst book I've read all year. I'm not even sure who the intended audience is, but it definitely was not me. The plot doesn't make much sense and the writing is just amateurish. "

"It was so easy to get caught up in this world where women are a rare and valuable commodity. The aliens are advanced but still like humans, so this isn't really a weird romance. Pretty much plays out like a good old love story of an arranged marriage. It was fun to think about a world where women have this kind of power!"

"Needless to say, science-fiction romance is one of the most difficult genres to pull off successfully, since the best authors must find ways to be both intellectually stimulating and erotic, and often at the same time. Sadly, this novel falls a bit short, though it's okay as a light read I guess. The biggest problem with the novel is that the aspects about virtual reality and artificial intelligence never fully mesh with the overarching love story, making it feel like two separate halves rather than one complete whole of a story. At least though, when considered separately, those two halves are sort of okay. Still, I'd only recommend it if you have nothing better to read."

"I really couldn't get into this book regardless of how many chapters I read. I didn't realize it was the fourth book in the collection of sci-fi romance novels. The premise is pretty interesting though it just didn't catch my interest as the overarching romance theme just distracted from the actual drama and space. I'm not saying the book is bad but if you're into sci-fi romance books then this might be for you."

"Bloated garbage with a story stuck so far up its own behind it’ll never see the sun again. This book is about twice as long as it needs to be, with so much overwrought purple-prose nonsense I honestly thought it was a parody for the first two chapters. It kept going downhill after that, though, into so-bad-it’s-really-not-funny territory. The story itself is dull, uninspired and predictable; the characters are unlikeable and uninteresting; the writing is unreadable. I’m gonna give it 1 star as a book, but it’s a 5-star guide on “how not to write” for any aspiring authors out there. "

"This is book two in a series that I wouldn't really consider "romance". The Gender Game by Bella Forrest though does a great job of combining science fiction and a romantic storyline. I thought the concept of a world divided by gender was pretty intriguing and it didn't disappoint. Check out the sequel books if you like the first."
