"One of the best Shazam comics I've ever read, hands down. Out of every comic book I have of this superhero, this holds a special place in my heart since the polar opposite themes of magic and science come toegther here to make a really compelling story and whatnot. Pretty fun sorcery vs scientific enemies"

"Some would argue that this reboot doesn't do the original justice but I think this gives the character a fresh and modern medium to reach a new and younger audience base. It's not a perfect reboot but this serves as a start and foundation to build upon."

"This comic shows Captain Marvel at his most human and innocent self. There is no big overarching story or intense action scene but it's just as riveting and emotional. We see him being a hero in his own way by spending time with sick and terminally ill children at a hospital."

"A bold reimagining and redefining of a beloved superhero story. I got that they wanted to take Captain Marvel and turn his character into his own but it will inevitably rub some readers and long-time fans the wrong way. I personally liked it a lot and I think people should give it a chance."

"A nice little side story for the usual main story arcs. It nice to see Captain Marvel collaborating with other superheroes in the DC universe, and the with Superman no less. What impressed me the most was the art. It's really nice and well-presented."
