"I loved Destiny 2 and wanted a shooter game that was sort of like it. A friend told me to play Warframe and this is all I ever wanted in a game! The style of the game is perfectly matched to what I am interested in and I haven't stopped playing it since I got it!"

"So you are sitting at your house alone and bored and looking for a game to play. Well look much further, The Division is one of the biggest letdowns of the year. Let's pretend that you are like me and like to shoot at things on games, well if that's you then pass on this game. It's half finished and shooting at other players is more akin to throwing a basketball behind your back and praying. Do not play this game. 1/5"

Did you know that the first real attempt at a first-person shooter, abbreviated to FPS, came in 1973 with Maze War for computers installed at the NASA Ames Research Center? Maze War was cobbled together by three high school students during a NASA work-study program, using the old Imlac PDS-1 and PDS-4 minicomputers as platforms. The game was initially a single-plane environment where one player can turn around by 90-degree increments, although it then upgraded to include shooting and support for a second player via a serial cable. Player avatars were represented by floating eyeballs, which they can shoot to gain points. Although the first ever FPS game came out at 1973, it wouldn’t be commercialized until the early 80s and wouldn’t even be popularized until 1992 after Texas developer id Software released Wolfenstein 3D for the PC. Wolfenstein, considered by many as the father of modern shooters, featured impressive environments and character models that were way ahead of its time. The game also made famous many aspects that we see in plenty of FPS games today like health and ammo packs, the ability to switch weapons, and checkpoints.

Nowadays, plenty of first-person shooters have adopted the same aspects that earlier releases have put into their games, with more innovative features, factors, and changes.

"This game is great for people who like playing Star Trek Live.In some ways it is quite similar. Very good quality game, but this one isn't my kind of game. I prefer a little more strategy and better graphics. That's not saying this isn't a good game to play. I think it just needs a little work and more story. With that said it wasn't entirely horrible. It's a nice filler game when you have nothing else to do."
