DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know it costs an average of $10 million to produce an episode of Games of Thrones (GoT)? Prior to season one of GoT an episode cost about $6 million to produce. In season two, it cost closer to $7 million. And by the time of season 6, the cost is an average of $10 million per episode. Prior to season 6, the most expensive "GoT" episode ever produced was the season two's ninth and penultimate episode Blackwater. That episode featured an extensive battle scene which cost $2 million alone. It also became one of the show's most admired and popular episodes that drew more viewers to the series. This isn't surprising, with all those CGIs and epic battle scenes. But, among all the Game of Thrones seasons, the season eight will be even more expensive as it is said to cost a whopping $15 million each episode. Although there are reports the real budget is higher than that. Moreover, GoT matches the American sitcom Friends when it comes to the budget. But unlike Friends, GoT had international filming, costume designs, more cast, and CGI. The main difference is that Friends spent all their money on actors.

Indeed, Game of Thrones is one of the highest-rated cable shows. Fans have waited for almost two years for the final and last season of the show. Some fans even looked for TV series like Game of Thrones to watch while they wait for the final season to air. You are probably one of those fans who binged watch shows like Game of Thrones, right? If you haven't seen an episode, you can always look for legit sites to watch Game of Thrones online!

"If there is one thing that HBO does well is make great TV series. I would have to say that Game of Thrones is probably my favorite series from HBO currently. My only complaint is the gap in entertainment until a new season is released, so I gave Deadwood a try. I have never been a fan of Western style TV shows and unfortunately this show does not change my opinion. Deadwood will provide appeal to someone who are looking for shows like Game of Thrones or TV westerns, it is just not for me. "

"This suggestion only sort of makes sense. Game of Thrones is in the fantasy genre, and while it does seem to borrow from medieval times, the aesthetic is a bit different. The plot seems similar, with families trying to vie for power. However, there aren't really any supernatural/fantasy type elements in this to satisfy me as the one of the best shows like Game of Thrones. But it could be interesting, depending on what aspect of Game of Thrones I'm looking to replicate."

"I love historical TV dramas, I love the history of ancient Rome, and I love just about every TV drama that that HBO releases. So why didn't I love Rome, the short-lived HBO TV show about the Roman empire? I think part was that it felt very stagy, and I didn't much care for the focus on two soldiers in the Roman army. Don't get me wrong! The show was OK, just not great. Well, tbh i don't think there would be a series like Game of Thrones"

It's more like they took the time period, added some historic context and then made an interesting drama. I have enjoyed watching it and can't wait to watch more seasons. Indeed! This is one of the tv shows like Game of Thrones that you should check out."

The complexity of the story and uniqueness of the storytelling is very similar to Game of Thrones and I am very happy with my decision to start watching it. I highly recommend this show!"

"I guess The Handmaid's Tale is a good show to watch, but I'm not sure I would call it "like" Game of Thrones. The politics are there, and interesting, but they're also different. It's still pretty compelling, and I found myself somewhat involved in some of the episodes. It was a good way for me to spend a few hours."
