"Hands On ASL is free to learn with, and focuses on teaching the alphabet with fingerspelling exercises. What I like most about it though is that it uses 3D models so I can see the signs from all angles, which is a nice change of pace for the other solutions out there. The user interface is playful, and it even includes some customized skin options that make it a fun learning tool. I highly recommend it!"

"I work in a preschool. One of my students is deaf and uses signs a lot. I wanted to be able to communicate with her better so I was looking for an app. I downloaded Marley Signs, its an app for learning signs. It starts off working well, then the screen turns black, I looked it up and I am not the only one complaining of this issue. If you uninstall then reinstall to fix this issue, you lose your purchased content. It has potential to be a great app if they fix this issue"

"This app is fun to use and learn from. It can be used as a translator for when you are with someone who is deaf but it has been more fun just to learn the signs. I don't actually need to learn it but figure it never hurts to know a few new things and this app will make it easy to learn."

"I've been studying ASL on and off for 6 years, and my worst area has always been fingerspelling and reading letters quickly. Using this app and practicing the words after I answer them has improved my finger spelling and comprehension significantly in just a few weeks. 20 minutes in the app every day or two is all it takes, and the speed setting and extensive vocabulary make it easy to adjust the app to your skill level. Fingerspelling is such an important skill to have in ASL, and the only way to improve is with regular practice, which makes this app an essential for anyone who's serious about learning the language."

"ASL American Sign Language is a free app that is available on the Google Play Store. It teaches you how to speak sign language. It is a great tool to help you communicate with people who use sign language. There is a free version and a full version. It teaches very basic sign language and may just be considered a good starting point for learning how to sign. If you need something quick to make some short, basic communication, then this is a real good place to look. It fits the topic nicely."
