What are the best sources of NBA stats and scores?

A
Anonymous

Whether to determine the season's MVP or simply to determine your fantasy basketball wins, having a good website or app for checking stats and scores is a must for basketball fans. And in today's NBA that wears a much-different face than it did a good ten years ago, these things are just as crucial. As the world's top hoops league has shifted to position-less basketball and a whole lot of three-point shooting, numbers are as important as ever. Nowadays, you will see the game's best scorers seamlessly go for a 50-piece at any given night, adding more to fans' excitement. Whether you prefer the old school grit-and-grind type of game or you enjoy this era of analytics and spacing better, you can't deny that numbers are still on top. Statistics still play as vital as a role to compliment a player or a team's on-court success. On this list, we can help you track down the number of wins your team managed last season, the number of threes your favorite player hit the previous game, or even Michael Jordan's most-impressive NBA finals stat line. Dive in to find the best sources of NBA stats and scores that every fan needs.

"Slam is a decent read for those who mostly want to read written basketball coverage without hearing too much about other sports. The problem is that it just can't compete with the internet in terms of getting you information as fast as possible. It might be worth subscribing if you want to read more about players' backstories and lives, but if you just want to see the results of a month's worth of games, it's a lot easier to just go online and check it there, or to check scores/standings on TV."

"MSN sports is your standard run of the mill site to find sports scores. Not as comprehensive as some of the other big time sites, but you can basically find any score you need though they tend to focus on the major sports more. Some smaller sports you may have to dig for scores on but for the most part it's there. Probably the 4th of 5th best option for scores behind ESPN, CBS and others"

"While Sports Illustrated may have good info in it, by the time an issue is published, you could have looked elsewhere for the information. It is also more cost effective to look elsewhere. However, offering a digital version, as well as print, is a good way to swift get the information that is offered. It is also a more convenient way."

It has all the latest results , news and is updated constantly. I also love the community, there are many fans and we can share our wins and losses with each other. It is great fun!"

"FOX Sports is a great place to get just about anything you want related to sports, and the NBA is no exception to that. Sometimes I think they are even more reliable than ESPN who have the occasional controversial anchor. I usually look up Fox Sports for all my sports stats."

"If you're wanting the official anything for NBA, the official site is probably a good place to go. There are other sites that are better for niche information or things the NBA maybe wouldn't talk about, but if you're wanting straight stats there's no better option."
