"As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I understand the serious need for our link to the supplier of everything. Empowerment today is such a buzz word; that connotes a personal advantage for ones SELF and the world sees this as success. This wonderfully written book draws us into a personal power that is not like anything we could achieve through self realization. Likewise, an in-depth search for ones self only leads to a superficial relationship with all those around us. The Lord has given us an insight into who He is, by dwelling within us, and guiding us on the path of righteousness for the betterment of everyone He puts in our path. One of the proofs for this has been "speaking in other tongues" . This gift has been shunned, feared, mishandled and throughly suppressed by those who have Never had a relationship with anyone but themselves. Many have never allowed God to do what He said he would do"send a comforter". The scriptures have been plainly laid out for the least of us so that we can gain an understanding of this gift to empower us to serve the most high God "Jesus our Lord". Please take a chance and step outside of the teachings of a world that would never want you to have enough "heart power" to love your enemy or speak to God when mere words could not express what your heart wants to say. To pray to God in a heavenly language that only He understands and has asked you to use for His glory and your edification. Read the Pastors book and and see that God has ordained Him to tell the world once again that gifts and callings are without repentance."

"This book isn't a spiritual guide book in the way that the Bible or the Koran is, and it isn't non-fiction or self-help either. But it is a spiritual book about a non-believing Mormon woman, and could I suppose be a guide book to some readers. "

10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works - A True Story
10% Happier is a weird spiritual book because its author is someone who doesnt believe in "spiritual stuff". Its serious and mocking at the same time, and perhaps thats the key of its success.

"This book is mainly an autobiography that spews weak spirituality at you when it has the opportunity to do so. Instead of teaching readers how to be more involved with spirituality, they talk more about themselves in an irrelevant manner."

#7A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century

A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century
Barbara W. Tuchman—the acclaimed author of the Pulitzer Prize–winning classic The Guns of August—once again marshals her gift for character, history, and sparkling prose to compose an astonishing portrait of medieval Europe.

The fourteenth century reflects two contradictory images: on the one hand, a glittering age of crusades, cathedrals, and chivalry; on the other, a world plunged into chaos and spiritual agony. In this revelatory work, Barbara W. Tuchman examines not only the great rhythms of history but the grain and texture of domestic life: what childhood was like; what marriage meant; how money, taxes, and war dominated the lives of serf, noble, and clergy alike. Granting her subjects their loyalties, treacheries, and guilty passions, Tuchman re-creates the lives of proud cardinals, university scholars, grocers and clerks, saints and mystics, lawyers and mercenaries, and, dominating all, the knight—in all his valor and “furious follies,” a “terrible worm in an iron cocoon.”

"Tuchman has written an extraordinarily insightful analysis of leadership folly that is timeless. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. An easy and very entertaining read, despite it's length, that delves into the 14th century in great detail. The relationship characters makes to feel little confused."
