"Not only is Hoosiers a classic movie, period, but it is one of the quintessential sports movies ever made! Rough coach who's heart grows three sizes through his love of the game and the students he coaches? Check! Star player who learns the value of a good education? Check! A small-town team struggling to earn the respect of the town and the cities beyond? Check! This is the original sports movie!"

"Cinderella Man is one of the best sports movies on boxing. Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger give great performances and Ron Howard does a great job as Director/Producer. This movie follows the real life story of Jim Braddock. The boxing scenes are portrayed very realistically and the family story line holds your interest. There is blood in the movie, but that is to be expected with boxing."

"Maybe one of the biggest story in sports history. Its about the skater Tonya Harding and what she did back in her competitive days. There have been a few made for tv movies made about her but i feel this one goes a little more in depth about her background and history and why she did what she did and for what reason even if it costed her her career. Really enjoyed it ."

"I liked this kind of a lot. It's a classic, almost hokey skeleton for a story, but something about the Indian actors' performance (special respect towards Aasif Mandvi) redeemed it. It's definitely familiar, definitely standard, but the way it performs in its class puts it heads and shoulders above most other movies like it. I'd recommend checking it out."

"I love sports movies, but they really don't make them anymore. I came on here to see if there were any older sports movies that I hadn't seen yet. When I asked what the best sports movie was, I was told to try Any Given Sunday. I watched it and it was incredible. Probably the best one I have ever seen!"

"I love a good sports movie, and this really didn't do it for me. There's way more drama involving class and race in a really complicated point of time and place when all I really wanted was some underdog tropes and a big unlikely victory at the end."

"This is a good sports movie focused on a topic that gets a little less spotlight than some others. Focused on a coach of an English soccer team, it tells a compelling story with a lot of heart. If you like sports stories, you'll enjoy this one."
