"Nothing suggests that spring is coming than the baseball season, albeit a women's league. And nothing is better than showing girl-power like a classic movie about girls taking matters into their own hands. I applaud this movie and it is a good suggestion for this list."

"Well, Disney did something right with this film if it didn't make a huge box-office return. With a star-studded lineup, the film focused mainly on story-telling and not about selling tickets. I bet you anything that these actors are proud of how this film was made. And as for spring? Well, it really was set around springtime. No complaints there."

"If you doubt Matthew Broderick's status as a star, watch this movie. Granted that it had a good cast, but come-on, movies are only as good as the worst actors and its plot. And it all jelled together, making one of the top-grossing films when it was released."

"They don't make musicals as good as this one. The last good musical I got to watch was dream girls and chicago and it fails in comparison to this movie. Jeanne Crain was absolutely stunning on this film and I would always watch this film whenever I am down. There's nothing like springtime to lift you up."

"How versatile is Heath Ledger??? I had forgotten about this film Anyway, about spring? Well, school and spring don't mesh but in a sense they do. This is a chick-flick and almost every good chick-flick happens around springtime. HAHAHAHA. "
