"Peter David is a reliable - and good - Star Trek writer, but this is not his best. Should you read it? I did. It's part of a series and, having followed the rest of the really great series - I wanted to read this one, too. And, I'll probably read his next one. So, if you're a fan of the series - start with the first book (it's great) and then the others (also very good). This one? Read it because it's part of the series and it's just what comes next. That makes it a must read of the series, not of all Star Trek books (at least that's how we did it here, in my house of Trekkies)."

"This book is a great one, I don't particularly like the past ones, but this one really serves its purpose and corrects the mistakes in previous books. the characters are strong, relatable and well developed. The plot is interesting and keeps the reader hooked since the start. I would like to read more of this author, I liked his writting style. This is a good read for Star Treak fans, it does a good job capturing the soul of the series."

"I love the Star Trek show and I love the books equally as well. They are so well written. I feel as though I am one of the characters in the book. I found I was drawn to one of them and their story compelled me to understand things from their perspective. The story is interesting and leaves you wanting to know more about what will happen next. The plot was engaging and I look forward to reading more books when they are released."

"The Eternal Tide (Star Trek: Voyager) is a good Star Trek book, its one of the first more innovative versions of the series and presents new adventures focusing on the U.S.S. Voyager under Captain Kathryn Janeway. They explore the Delta Quadrant with fascinating discoveries. Perfect for those who want to read a grounded more classic Star Trek book."

"This is decent solution to the topic. It is a Star Trek book that has some good reviews, but there are also others that may think this is not one of the best Star Trek books out there. While there are some good reviews for this books there are some others that not very good as well making it a decent solution."

"Fire on High was arguably one of the more solid Star Trek novels that came out in the late 90s-- I remember my dad buying it for me and I was pretty skeptical but it holds up well. My only gripe is the ending left some loose ends I won't spoil."
