DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the first "Star Wars" script was written in 1973? It was the time when filmmaker George Lucas sat down to write the script that would make him famous. Back then, it was called "The Star Wars". The script that Lucas has worked around followed Luke Starkiller zipping around the 33rd century with his lazersword. The movie's original script was seen as very unconventional. It did not necessarily follow traditional stories. Basically, the original "Star Wars" script broke many classic screenwriting commandments. Despite this, Lucas was nominated for the 1978 Academy Award for best original screenplay for "Star Wars". He was nominated alongside playwright Neil Simon and that year's winner, Woody Allen.

Years and decades later, Lucas' script is regarded as iconic. His writing introduced some of the most iconic and enduring characters in movie history. The unconventional storytelling and scripts that Lucas created are now seen as a template for sci-fi films. Star Wars is now regarded as one of the most successful movie franchises. After watching the Star Wars movies, dedicated fans can still get new material from books. In 1991, Del Rey Books launched a new novel from author Timothy Zahn: Heir to the Empire. This started the enormous Expanded Universe publishing experiment. Collections of Star Wars novels like the Disney Canon novel book series and The Dark Lord Trilogy also add to the rich Star Wars culture. Dozens of authors wrote hundreds of novels that explored the spaces around the films. Now, Star Wars fans can get hold of the best Star Wars comics and books to enjoy the great Star Wars Universe.

"This book focuses on the Dark Side of Star Wars characters. It provides an in depth look at major characters and is one of the most comprehensive books in the star wars series. At the same time this focuses entirely on one element of the star wars universe and as such cannot be considered the best book. This is a great book for Star Wars lovers who are familiar with and enjoy the Dark Side, but would not be great for a beginner getting interested in the Star Wars Series"

I was able to find out what happens with Revan and the Exile. It was a great and easy read. I was able to move right through it and couldn't put this book down until I was finished. "It's a good short story that paints a different picture of the villain we've all seen in the movies. Good value for the money if you're into the Star Wars world and love to continue all aspects of the series. Including the short story, only available via e-book, if you want a physical copy look elsewhere. But for the price it is a good value. I enjoyed the series, as it was quick read and painted a quick perspective for me."

"Although this would be considered science fiction by genre classification, there is also a great story to be found in Path of Destruction(Star Wars: Darth Bane) written by Drew Karpyshyn. Karpyshyn is a pretty good storyteller and all in all I found the saga of Darth Bane to be a fairly entertaining read. I am not sure what I was expecting when I picked up this book; but I was definitely pleased with what I found."

"Star Wars - The X-Wing series is a group of 10 books that take place in the Star Wars universe. They are some of the most popular Star Wars books off all time. The linked solution is for a set of ebooks instead of actual hard/paperback books. That gives you a little more flexibility on when and where you can enjoy this classic set. There is little doubt that this fits the topic."

""Darth Maul (Star Wars Episode 1: Journals)" might be a decent read for the hardcore Star Wars fans but it among the best books of this universe? No way. First of all, it is hard to tell whether it belongs to the continuity that Disney chose to pursue. And more than that, it is a very short story and even calling it a book is a long stretch."

One thing that is lacking with Star Wars is the background of other characters. Tarkin was always a character that I've wanted to get to know better. This book fulfills that need."
