DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Sword Art Online: Alicization got involved in a sexual assault controversy? Its premiere was well-received by critics and audience alike, until the tenth episode. The "Taboo Index" episode somehow showed a scene that is kind of inappropriate - or taboo. It shows two female characters gagged and tied to a bed, then raped by two bullies in front of their friend. Although there's nothing explicitly displayed, the sequence clearly implied a sexual assault. And thus, made most of the fans uncomfortable. Fans are also quick to notice that after the episode's airing, some sites to watch SAO: Alicization had the graphic part censored or "altered". It did not take long before Sword Art Online creator Reki Kawahara expressed his apology on Twitter.
