"I read Shadow's Edge (Night Angel) when it came out in 2008. It is definitely a great book, but I don't know if I would say it is the best swordsman/swordswoman book out there. In this book, Kylar Stern has rejected the assassin's life. He is starting over: new city, new friends, and new profession. But then Kylar is faced with an agonizing choice: will he give up the way of shadows forever and live in peace with his new family, or will he risk everything by taking on the ultimate hit?"

"This is one of the better fantasy novels I've read in a while. It is a lengthy read at 1280 pages yet I finished it in one weekend over Christmas holiday. I highly advise not to start it if there's work to be done because it is not an easy book to put down. Brandon Sanderson is a masterful storyteller. This is an excellent read."

"The book is very written, but I found it lacking as I was searching for more of a book that talked about a woman as well. The character that the book focused on is Conan who is very well known. Book itself is great and I found myself finishing it very quickly. But I was looking for more of a book that featured a woman character as the hero. Other than that, it definitely did not disappoint and the reviews reflect that."

"This is a good fantasy novel that features a strong, young woman as the main hero. The book is targeted towards young adults, and for the audience, it is well-written and has a lot of personality in the dialogue. For older readers, the book may be a bit vanilla and is not so gruesome like some other fantasy novels."
