"I have read the other books in the Nodd's Ridge series, so I had some expectations going into this. I was somewhat disappointed with The Book of Reuben overall. I found some of the actions by the characters to be far fetched or unbelievable. Since this book is technically a prequel, it isn't absolutely necessary or integral to the other books in the group. "
